The National Science Foundation’s Improving Undergraduate STEM Education: Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI Program) will host office hours to answer questions, as you prepare your proposals.
The HSI program seeks to:
• Enhance the quality of undergraduate STEM education at HSIs,
• Increase retention and graduation rates of undergraduate students pursuing degrees in STEM at HSIs, and
• Build capacity in undergraduate STEM education at HSIs that typically do not receive high levels of National Science Foundation grant funding.
Seven office hours for prospective proposers will be held virtually from July 7 to August 19, 2021. For a full list of office hour dates, times, themes, and Zoom links, please visit the office hours webpage. The first office hours session, Overview of HSI, is today, July 7 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm EST.
These office hours for the HSI Program will focus on Track 1: The Planning or Pilot Projects (PPP) and Track 2: The Implementation and Evaluation Projects (IEP). The full proposal deadline for Tracks 1 and 2 is August 25, 2021. Check out the HSI Program’s webpage for more details.
The submission deadline for Track 3: Institutional Transformation Projects (ITP) is February 9, 2022, and thus the office hours in July and August will only focus on Tracks 1 and 2.
If you have any questions, please direct them to a Program Director listed on the HSI program webpage linked above. We appreciate your interest in the HSI Program.
